Susan's art, most often created on old guitars, violins, authentic cow and steer skulls and masks, blends intricate beadwork, discarded jewelry, stones, ceramic tiles and shells to give each object a vibrant second life. Working intuitively rather from predetermined visions or sketches, Susan allows each piece to evolve organically as she builds the design. The result is a collection of richly textured works where no two pieces are ever alike. Alongside her own collections, she frequently accepts custom commissions incorporating the client's heirlooms into a stunning and meaningful treasure.
